From Heaven Lake- Travels through Sinkiang and Tibet- As a Travel Literature

Abstract

The travel literature has emerged as one of the most admired and interesting genres during the last decade of twentieth century. The travelogue, The Heaven Lake has nicely presented the long loving relationship between India and China. They have witnessed great civilization and have deep respect for each other. Vikram Seth, the narrator of the travelogue, was the student of Nanjing University in China from 1980- 82. He visited several places of China and narrated his experience.
