Communication is the foundation of effective counselling. In modern society, stress, anxiety, emotional instability, and relationship conflicts have increased the importance of counselling communication skills. While modern counselling theories focus on empathy, active listening, emotional intelligence, and guidance, these principles have existed for centuries in Sanatan Dharma. Ancient Indian scriptures such as the Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, and Mahabharata provide deep insights into counselling communication through dialogue, wisdom, patience, and emotional support. This paper explores how Sanatan Dharma acts as a valuable source of counselling communication skills and how its teachings remain relevant in modern counselling practices.
