Abstract

The Indian cuckoo or the Asian koel Eudynamys scolopaceus (family: Cuculiformes), commonly reported from Southeast Asia are frugivorous as adults. The present observations were made near my house situated in the city of Bikaner, Rajasthan, India in the month of December. There are two huge trees of Salvadora persica in the premises and koel was noted to visit the tree quite often to eat the fresh green fruits.
