Abstract

Digital payment systems have revolutionized the banking industry by streamlining financial transactions and enhancing operational efficiency. This study explores the adoption and impact of digital payment systems at Kotak Bank, Nagpur, focusing on their role in improving operational workflows, customer satisfaction, and overall productivity. By analysing data from various digital payment platforms, employee feedback, and customer usage patterns, the research highlights how the integration of these systems reduces processing times, minimizes errors, and promotes transparency. Key challenges, such as cybersecurity risks and the digital literacy gap, are also examined to provide a comprehensive understanding of the implementation process. The findings reveal that digital payment systems not only contribute to cost savings for the bank but also enable better service delivery, fostering stronger customer relationships. Practical recommendations for optimizing these systems and addressing implementation barriers are provided, ensuring scalability and sustainability in the digital banking era. This paper offers valuable insights for banking professionals, policymakers, and researchers interested in the transformative potential of digital payment technologies.
