Abstract

Copper Zinc Tin Sulfide (CZTS) is a promising material for thin-film solar cells due to its earth-abundant, non-toxic, and cost-effective constituents. In this study, CZTS thin films were synthesized using the spin coating technique, and the impact of various spin coating parameters on the structural and optical properties of the films was systematically investigated. Parameters such as spin speed, spin time, and annealing temperature were varied to optimize film quality. Characterization techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-Vis spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were employed. The results revealed that optimized spin parameters significantly improved the crystallinity, surface morphology, and optical absorption of CZTS thin films, enhancing their suitability for photovoltaic applications.
