NATIONAL POPULATION POLICY: A SURVIVAL IMPERATIVE

Abstract

The exponential growth of population poses a significant challenge to sustainable development, resource management, and national security, making the formulation and implementation of a robust National Population Policy (NPP) a critical survival imperative. This research explores the multidimensional impacts of population dynamics on socio-economic development, healthcare systems, environmental sustainability, and governance. By critically analyzing the evolution, objectives, and outcomes of existing population policies, the study highlights both the successes and gaps in addressing demographic challenges.
