As newly established Government Degree Colleges expand across various regions, the environmental implications of campus operations and resource management have become critical. Green audits offer a systematic approach to evaluating and improving environmental practices, particularly in institutions with limited sustainability infrastructure. This paper reviews the essential components of conducting green audits in new Government Degree Colleges, examining how these audits can support sustainable campus growth, reduce environmental footprints, and foster an environmentally aware academic community. The study aims to provide a framework for green auditing tailored to the unique needs of emerging government institutions, addressing both the potential benefits and challenges.
